This boost is accompanied by the added new button intended to allow officers to improve their bump-n-spin by disabling their pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking for a sec when they need it. While when it comes to automation, Ford gave it a torque-on-demand system with an automatic clutch that’s ready to engage with the front axle whenever the wheels at the back lose traction.
Just as powerful when towing
Ford didn’t forget about the importance of good towing capability, that’s why this bad boy was designed to haul up to 2,030 pounds, and can even go higher with a super-advanced towing package that brings the total up to 11,200 pounds. This out-tows quite a number of competitors and when you look at its towing assist functions available with things like a trailer backup assist or integrated trailer brake controller, you can’t help but be impressed.
Those ain’t the only features that make it stand out - the all-improved Ford F-150 Police Responder allows officers to get the key out of the ignition and exit the pickup, while the engine keeps running and yet the steering and transmission selector stay locked. This means that they can continue their duty without the worry of someone trying to steal the vehicle.
Superior protection on the inside
The inside is no less amazing, with seats made of cloth and with anti-stab protection, designed with side bolsters that were born to welcome officers wearing duty belts. Another visible update is the center console which offers a surface for writing and working on a computer.
