      The Best Winch Bar In My Opinion

      Installation isn't too tough for the mechanically inclined. Instructions could be better but since it was my third one I pretty much knew that going in. I had to cut a piece from my original bumper to fill the gap between the ARB bar and the grill. Cutting was simple with a jigsaw. One piece of advice is add 1 1/2 inches to what the instructions say as it will look a lot better ( no more than that or it will hit the mounting bracket and you'll need to cut again). Luckily I found that out online. Also, follow the steps in the instructions to a T as far as when to do something. You have to drill 2 holes into the bracket to lock the bar in near the very end, but if like me you decided to mount the turn signal/fog light insert before drilling those holes you can't fit a drill in the underneath side. Doh! I did the entire install by myself in about 4 hours. If you're also installing a winch and don't have a floor jack (which you'll need to cut a few pieces of 2x6 to rest the bar on) you'll need assistance lifting the bar into place unless you're an extreme weight lifter! Then it's just a matter of adjusting here and there and tightening all the bolts. Another tip if you're doing it solo, take 2 small pieces of and 1x wood and wedge them in between the wings and the fender flares as this will really help when making those final tweaks. It only dropped my front end by 1/2" but I'm installing new shocks and coils as the stock ones will wear quickly with the added weight. Tapping the signal/running lights into the existing harness is a breeze, and they do provide you with scotch locks.

      All in all I couldn't be happier!

      Very high quality bumper and well thought out design. Quality welds, proper strength steel for bumper and tubes, without being excessive and adding unnecessary weight to the design. The bracket that supports the weight of the bumper uses the OEM factory studs, along with holes that Toyota pre drilled into the frame for extra support. Extremely solid once installed, and definitely will provide great protection against deer and moose up in the Northwoods here. Was slightly difficult to get the bumper properly aligned, but proved no problem with a second set of hands to help. The optional light kit that came with the bumper was ok, fog lights were sealed and of good quality. Although the marker/turn lights are not of the best quality, and are not sealed from the elements. This can be remedied with some silicone, and using properly insulated splices when connecting to factory wiring. Mark at BumperOnly.com provides great customer service, and promptly answered all of my questions, and they got my bumper shipped fast.
